St Ives Food Bank exists to provide emergency food supplies to clients referred to us by professional agencies. Serving the TR26 postcode area and immediate proximity postcodes.
St Ives Food Bank is dedicated to providing emergency food supplies to individuals and families experiencing food poverty. We also have limited funds to help those in energy poverty situations through vouchers, available only to referred clients.
If you have not been referred to us you may wish to access
St Ives Foodshare which makes available food that otherwise would go to waste. See their facebook page for more details.
Once you have been referred you can recieve food for upto 12 weeks PROVIDING you text us by 12:30 Wednesday each week to confirm you are still in need.
You will need a new referal after 12 weeks
Please return the bags your food is provided in, and any egg boxes to keep our costs down. Money spent replacing bags and boxes means less money to buy food.
Wherever possible please collect your food from us as we do not always have sufficient volunteer drivers to guarantee a delivery. Collection from Edward Hain Centre should be easier for most people in St Ives.
If for any last minute reason you are unable to collect please let us know by text so we can avoid waste of perishable products.
Most of the work of assembling food parcels is done by our core volunteers on Thursday mornings. A number of volunteer drivers deliver to those who are housebound. Our trustees are active in raising funds and shopping for perishable items and topping up non perishable stocks as demand outstrips donated food.
We are often looking for new volunteers please contact us if you are interested or download and complete the volunteer application form.
Our trustees are

We provide essential food supplies to individuals and families facing food insecurity, ensuring no one goes hungry.
In addition to food aid, we have limited funds to support individuals in energy poverty situations, helping them stay able to cook, be warm and comfortable.
We work closely with professional agencies to extend our reach and support to those most in need within our community.
We work in partnership with the Edward Hain Centre which hosts a number of community services and seek to expand our services as time goes on.
Through our dedicated efforts, we have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of many individuals and families facing crises.
Our Christmas Hamper appeals help alleviate the pressure of the season for both our referred clients and other charities in the area often raising the meals delivered to over 8500.
